Few rifle models have as many versions as the SAVAGE 110, among them all stands out SAVAGE 110 CLASSIC, a classic but incorporating certain current features. It is precisely the wooden tin that bestows that traditional look and gives it that timeless beauty. While the wood has been at the service of the weapons since the beginning of its appearance, the polymer tins were born in the 1980s.

Since then, despite the initial reluctance of many users, they have ended up imposing on almost all ranges of rifles, except for the most luxurious models. It was argued that the injection-moulded polymer would never have the appearance, feeling and touch of the traditional walnut. But finally its lightness, economy, resistance and stability to all kinds of environmental circumstances has succeeded in triumphing. In addition, they allow more customization than wood, something key in these times where the accessories industry has grown enormously.

Aware of all this, SAVAGE presents the 110 Classic, a rifle that manages to combine the customization of a polymer cane with the classic look of the walnut. At first glance, this rifle looks like a traditional wooden rifle, a weapon that will attract the most traditional hunters. A further examination reveals that the walnut cane can be adjusted quickly, to fit perfectly to any shooter. It has an oil finish that looks elegant and helps protect the wood. It has a removable metal box charger containing four cartridges (three in the case of magnum calibers) and bolts to hook the rings of the portafusil strap.

This concept of adaptable wooden cane is not new or much less, was popularized at the time with the competition shotguns. Since the different sporting modalities require an accurate adjustment of the weapon. Decades ago, that required the shooters to go through the difficult and costly process of adjusting the stock. Being the solution that employs this rifle the fastest and most economical option.

The operation of the system is extremely simple and intuitive, by means of two simple buttons located on the right side of the bowl we can vary the length of the bowl and the height of the carrillera. These allow the shooter to adjust the rifle to its morphology, both height and depth, admitting a variation of up to 1.5” (38 mm). The front button controls the height of the rail and the rear the depth, can be operated without detaching the view of the target. The tension of both buttons is adjustable by a simple Allen key.

The 110 Classic weighs about 3.6 Kg, which is good for most hunting modalities. The total length of the standard calibers varies from 41,25” (1048 mm) to 42,75” (1086 mm), depending on the length settings of the quantum we make.

With respect to other characteristics, these are common to the 110 family of SAVAGE. It has a carbon steel barrel of “sport” contour, with lengths of 22” (560 mm). All 110 Classic rifles come with threaded cannon with a step of 9/16 thread-28 and include a metallic thread protector. The cutting technique is “button-rifling” in which SAVAGE has a great experience, making for it cannons of great precision.

With respect to the action this is the classic machined from a round steel bar and with its well-known floating head lock. As we have mentioned in other models, it allows to self-center during the blockade, relying uniformly on the hole of the action and making the face of the lock full contact with the entire head of the cartridge. This together with the cannon-binding system through a nutshell, allows an exact “headspace” which helps the rifle to have excellent precision.

The AccuTrigger is the name of the shooting system that appeared in 2002 for the rifles SAVAGE. This is characterized by its ultra-short and breakage as a glass rod. It has security integrated into the trigger, which prevents accidental shock downloads and makes your behavior simulate a two-time trigger. It is customizable by the user in terms of weight, from 0,680 Kg (1,5 pounds) to 2.72 Kg (6 pounds). On the other hand, it is complemented by manual security of three positions, located behind the action and therefore with ambidiestro access.

The SAVAGE 110 CLASSIC is a 110 series variant for those who like classic rifles, but who do not want to give up the ergonomics of the most modern rifles. It is an all-terrain rifle that fits into any kinegetic mode of practice in our country.
