The new Ruger Hawkeye Alaskan in calibre.338 Winchester Magnum is based on the popular Ruger Guide Gun platform. This stainless steel rifle, combined with a Hogue® OverMolded® cane, provides the shooter or hunter with a most resistant and powerful rifle.

The Hogue® OverMolded® black synthetic cane from the rifle is a unique feature of the Alaskan configuration of the Hawkeye rifles. The Hogue patented overmoulding process provides the best and most comfortable texture, anti-slip, soft, and durable. The latest-generation elastomer material used in the Hogue canisters is not hardened with time and is practically waterproof to all oils and lubricants used with firearms, which provides extra durability. The rifle also comes equipped with a highly effective back pad.

The Hawkeye Alaskan weighs 3.6 Kg. and has a total length of 42”(1069mm), a matt stainless steel finish and a rear lift with low-deep V muesque adjustable in drift and a front look with great white point. The rifle also has the Ruger mouth brake system that includes a removable radial port mouth brake to significantly reduce the perceived setback.

The Hawkeye Alaskan Hunter also includes the LC6TM trigger, which offers a smooth and sharp release from the first moment and greater precision in the shooting field or in the practice of hunting. It has the traditional Mauser controlled power system, powerful claw extractor and robust lock, one-piece stainless steel. The three-position insurance allows the shooter to block the lock or load and download the rifle with the insurance set.

Controlled cartridge feeding system, Mauser type, non-revolving which is one of the safest casing extraction systems ever invented and has a fixed blade-type ejector that reliably drives empty shells as the lock moves completely back.

Beam loader with solid steel base for easy download without having to remove each cartridge. It has an engraved Ruger logo and a patented latch that is at the foot of the guard to prevent accidentally discarding of the cartridges.

Insurance of three easy-to-reach positions that allows the shooter to block the lock or load and download the rifle with the insurance set.

Hogue® OverMolded® Blade molded from durable synthetic rubber that provides a soft sensation that absorbs the regress without affecting accuracy.

Ruger LC6TM Shooter offers a smooth and sharp release from the first moment for greater precision in the shooting field or in the practice of hunting.

Stainless Steel and Cold Martilled Canyon, with 5R Stretch which results in an ultra-precise grinding that provides exceptional accuracy and longevity.

It is included visor rings, which are mounted on the integrated mounting system patented by Ruger, machined directly into the stainless steel action.

The Ruger mouth brake system includes a removable radial brake (width step 1/2"-32) that significantly reduces the perceived setback. In cases where the brake is not preferred, it can be replaced by the mouth weight that is included and which is dynamically combined. The change between brake and weight will not change the impact point of the bullet for a particular load. Included thread protector can be used if neither brake nor weight is desired
